Why the name River + Green?
We all live and work at the intersections.
Not just in our visible and invisible identities, but the people, places, and things that occur in our lives that make us who we are. As I contemplated a name for my company, as well as moments in my life that were impactful in making me who I am, I considered an actual intersection, which became River (location) and Green (person). During a meaningful point in my life and career, the intersection of River + Green changed me as a person and a leader.
The color green symbolizes hope, harmony, and optimism, along with the promise of growth and prosperity.
The river is a patient and powerful entity. Symbolizing growth, life, purity, wisdom, and transformation, the river is deeply rooted in life’s journey and change.
I believe all of this is possible to achieve in this world. One where we center our humanity, expand our horizons and work together to achieve the impossible. However, it will require the patience and the persistence of the mighty river.
